Jamies Shepherds Pie_2

Shepherd’s Pie is certainly not native to hot and humid Singapore. Probably the only connection we have to this classic comfort food is that Singapore was once a British colony. While typically an English dish, some may also say that this pie actually originated from Ireland. That brings us to the fact that Saint Patrick’s Day will be widely celebrated later this March, even in Singapore.

Whatever the reason, it’s a great comfort dish that needs no further debate. So go get some lamb, or beef if you prefer, and called it Cottage Pie!

There is a difference?  Yup. Here are 10 things you didn’t know about Shepherd’s Pie.

The thing about such a classic dish, is that there are countless ways in which to make it. Our favourite is Jamie Oliver’s way of making it – Simple. Quick. Fuss Free. Just how we like it!
